Gemini and Apex Fintech Plan Regulated Prediction Market Expansion
Gemini Space Station and Apex Fintech Solutions have announced plans to distribute regulated crypto prediction markets, combining Apex’s brokerage infrastructure and Gemini’s federally regulated trading and clearing operations in a letter of intent (LOI).
Through the potential deal, qualifying Apex brokerage clients may be able to access crypto event contracts on Gemini, enabling a distribution strategy that would permit certain brokers to offer event contracts through their existing technology stack, without having to create direct exchange connectivity to a prediction market exchange.
The expected agreement between Gemini and Apex could potentially allow customers of Apex brokers to trade event contracts listed exclusively on Gemini Titan, a regulated venue registered with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) as a Designated Contract Market (DCM).
While Gemini would continue to provide the execution and clearing framework through its existing regulated infrastructure, Gemini would be able to leverage Apex’s proven brokerage technology and expansive network of clients. This could help participating brokers offer event-based crypto trading to their customers through their own platforms.
Gemini’s CFTC Licenses Strengthen the Partnership
This proposed expansion into crypto prediction markets is underpinned by Gemini’s extensive regulatory capabilities for derivatives trading. In December 2025, Gemini began offering prediction market trading on its platform following its receipt of a Designated Contract Market (DCM) license from the U.S.

Commodity Futures Trading Commission for Gemini Titan, a regulated derivatives exchange. In April 2026, Gemini’s derivatives clearinghouse, Gemini Olympus, was awarded a license from the CFTC as a Derivatives Clearing Organization (DCO).
The available data supports the idea that Gemini is actively growing its prediction markets business as a business beyond just the cryptocurrency trading business line. Over 225 million prediction contracts traded on Gemini Titan through the second quarter of 2026 and more than 27,000 unique traders participated.
Gemini and Apex Build on an Existing Relationship
This new potential distribution arrangement comes after an initial partnership was announced in July 2026 between Gemini and Apex Clearing Corporation, the brokerage’s custodian, to offer commission-free stock trading for selected United States based customers. The potential deal to expand distribution and trading of crypto prediction contracts through the brokerage firms would build on the prior established partnership.

Gemini’s arrangement could provide brokerage firms with a direct path to access and trade crypto event contracts on a regulated market without the need for independent development of infrastructure required to interact with and execute trades through an exchange directly and receive the transaction clearance to complete the transaction.
The proposed deal will require remaining details surrounding the transaction to be completed between the two firms. Both Gemini and Apex aim to finalize definitive terms over the next few weeks. Under the terms of the deal, Gemini’s prediction market offering would exclusively trade through Apex’s Futures Commission Merchant, however, other event contract categories, such as sports, economic data, and financial markets events could also be distributed.
