JPM Coin Launched by JPMorgan on Ethereum, Ethereum Price Prediction
Ethereum price has risen 1.16% in the last 24 hours to $2,407.30, maintaining above the $2,390 mark, as the wider cryptocurrency market headed north. The total market cap of crypto currencies rose 1.2% to $2.74 trillion.
Bitcoin was trading at $81,917. Ethereum’s price action comes this week as institutional adoption is on the rise, new corporate purchases are being made and uncertainty swirls around the Federal Reserve’s upcoming decision on interest rates.
JPMorgan Chase’s JPM Coin launch on Ethereum mainnet is a significant milestone, enhancing blockchain-based payment solutions for institutional customers. Meanwhile, Tom Lee’s BitMine bought 12,535 ETH, worth about $30.3 million, on Oct. 19, moving closer to its target of holding 5% of the circulating supply of Ethereum.
These developments could affect market sentiment, but Ethereum’s near-term price direction will also be influenced by technical resistance levels, investor demand and broader economic conditions.JPM Coin is now live on the Ethereum mainnet.
JPM Coin is now live on the Ethereum mainnet enabling approved institutional clients to use blockchain technology for dollar-denominated deposit transfers and settlement. Kinexys operates JPM Coin, which are tokenized bank deposits, not publicly traded stablecoins. It is tied to the US dollar . Transfers and settlement can function at any time of the day or nite .
The expansion is part of JPMorgan’s broader efforts to link conventional financial services with blockchain infrastructure. JPM Coin launched on Base in 2025 and then moved to the Ethereum mainnet. The move could boost Ethereum’s role in institutional payments, tokenized deposits and digital asset settlement.
But JPM Coin is still only available to approved institutions. Its adoption does not mean there will be an immediate demand for ETH, but it does highlight the potential of the network to support regulated financial applications.## Ethereum Price Prediction: Can ETH Take Back $2,500?
Ethereum was trading around $2,407.30 at press time, with buyers attempting to keep the recovery above the $2,390 level. Technical indicators suggest that bearish momentum is easing but in the broader recovery sellers are still on the dominant side.
The Relative Strength Index (RSI) on the four-hour chart was 46, above its average of 44.28. This suggests better momentum, but the indicator is still below the neutral 50 level. The MACD line meanwhile was at -13.04, above the signal line at -15.29, with a positive histogram of 2.25.
These readings indicate that selling pressure is possibly fading, but a sustained bullish reversal is not yet confirmed.
Ethereum Key Resistance and Support Levels
Ethereum Price Resistance Ethereum price is having a hard time breaking above the $2,500 resistance. A sustained four-hour close above $ 2,400 could bolster the recovery attempt, while a decisive breakout above $ 2,500 could pave the way to $ 2,600.
The good news is that $2,330 is an important support level after many tests in October. If ETH breaks this floor, the psychological $2,300 level could be the next area to watch.
The price outlook is therefore still dependent on buyers ability to break through resistance without losing the nearby support zone.BitMine Acquires 12,535 ETH for $30.3 Million
Tom Lee’s BitMine announced on Oct. 19 that it had purchased 12,535 ETH worth roughly $30.3 million. The acquisition extended the company’s buy-and-hold strategy, bringing it closer to its goal of owning 5% of Ethereum’s supply.
Massive buying could be an indication of institutional confidence in the long-term potential of Ethereum. But corporate accumulation by itself can do little to ensure higher prices, particularly when market liquidity, investor sentiment and macroeconomic conditions are still uncertain.Ethereum ETFs See $69.68 Million in Outflows
Data from SoSoValue showed net outflows from Ethereum spot exchange-traded funds (ETFs) stood at $69.68 million on October 16. Most of the outflows were from BlackRock’s iShares Ethereum Trust (ETHA), while other listed funds showed no net daily inflows.
Combined trading value was $645.81 million, total net assets were $14.95 billion and cumulative net inflows were $12.94 billion. ETF holdings were roughly 5.07% of Ethereum’s market cap.
The institutional adoption developments in Ethereum are positive, but the outflows indicate short-term caution among some investors. Further withdrawals could be a drag on sentiment and renewed inflows may help to support demand.
Federal Reserve Decision Could Impact Ethereum Price
The Federal Reserve’s interest rate decision is still a big macroeconomic event for cryptocurrency markets. Expectations for lower rates can increase appetite for risk sensitive assets, while a more restrictive policy outlook may pressure digital asset prices.

So for Ethereum traders, monetary policy signals will be in focus, along with institutional adoption, ETF flows, and technical indicators. JPMorgan’s JPM Coin expansion is a positive for blockchain adoption, but ETH’s next big move will depend on whether buying momentum picks up enough to break through resistance at $2,500.
