XRP and LTC Updates: What is OKX’s plan for Expiry Futures Contracts?
The exchange OKX has let the public know that they are going to remove XRP (Ripple) and LTC (Litecoin) USDT margined expiration futures.
The movement is to be in accordance with the market trends and user requirements which is expected to end on December 27, 2024. This will take place at 8:00 AM UTC as has an impact on the conclusion of all outstanding expiration futures.
All previous bi-weekly and biennial expiration contracts are already gone as these which are available will remain until they reach their end date.
The statement coming from OKX has raised worries on how the price of XRP and LTC is functioning as they try to make sense about the market dynamics based on the announcement.

Market Performance of XRP and LTC
Currently XRP is sitting on $2.20 up 11% meaning the price has covered 24 hours worth of trades with an increase of 0.5% and sitting on an average price gain of 2.13 to 2.23.
Although the price has undergone health fluctuations, volume dropped greatly despite 24 hr percent 20 average volume.
Even with this drop the output remains steady under the same outputs of 2014 to 2017. Major movements ideally at the later stage should enable XRP reach upwards of $20.
Despite LTC’s increase earlier in the week, which can be attributed completely to a rally of 20%, it bubble sat around $104.
The low price for the day is $101.16 while the high price is $104.16. Open interest in LTC futures decreased (up by 1%) slightly, meaning there were 1.08 million LTC futures contracts worth $457.26 million traded at all, therefore there was not much trading dominating activities.
