Cardano price prediction: ADA can it reclaim $0.26 as stablecoin supply surges?
Cardano (ADA) price is trading at $0.203, with a modest intraday gain of 0.46% as bearish market sentiment and declining network activity continue to limit its recovery. The outlook is poor, but the rising stablecoin supply on the Cardano network could offer some support around the psychologically important $0.20 mark. Investors are now watching to see if ADA can hold this support and regain bullish momentum to $0.26.
ADA reached an intraday high of $0.2047 before pulling back to $0.203 in the latest trading session. Meanwhile, falling open interest indicates futures traders are reducing their exposure amid market uncertainty. With such developments, it seems Cardano is entering a critical price zone where sellers and buyers could decide its next big move.Cardano Stablecoin Supply Grows 81% in 2026 Despite Slow Network Activity
Cardano’s stablecoin market has grown significantly in 2026, with the total market cap rising from $38 million on January 1 to around $69 million. This is a growth of about 81%, with USDCx making up 63% of the stablecoin supply.
But the increase in stablecoin liquidity has not been matched with stronger decentralized finance activity. Cardano’s total value locked (TVL) has fallen to roughly $57 million from $169 million in January, data from DeFiLlama shows. This decline indicates that the allocation of capital across the DeFi landscape on Cardano is still under pressure.
Participation in the network has also fallen off considerably. Active addresses have declined from about 27,400 on October 8 to 13,973, a decrease of nearly 49%. Cardano dropped from $0.258 to around $0.204 during the same period.
For a sustainable recovery in Cardano price, investors will likely want to see an improvement in active addresses, a rise in DeFi TVL and growing demand for blockchain-based applications. For now, simply increasing the supply of stablecoins may not be enough to ignite a sustained bullish trend until these indicators start to improve.Cardano Open Interest Drops to $426 Million as Traders Cut Risk
Cardano derivatives market is showing signs of caution. Open interest has fallen to about $426.33 million from $658 million on Oct. 7, a drop of around 35%. It is also the lowest reported level in five weeks.
ADA’s open interest on Binance has dropped from $136 million on October 8 to around $81.80 million. The decline suggests traders are either closing positions or limiting their exposure in the face of uncertainty on the direction of ADA’s price.
Meanwhile, Cardano’s weighted funding rate has fallen from 0.0084% on October 26 to -0.0006%, according to CoinGlass data. The negative funding rate suggests that shorts are paying longs, a sign of more bearish positioning in the perpetual futures market.
A shrinking open interest can sometimes indicate a reduction in selling pressure but on its own does not confirm a reversal of price. A stronger recovery would require renewed participation in trading and improvement in market sentiment and sustained demand in buying.
Cardano Price Prediction: Will ADA Maintain Support At $0.20?
Cardano is trying to defend the psychological support level of $0.20 despite continued selling pressure. This level is also important as a sustained break below it could leave ADA exposed to further downside.
The daily Relative Strength Index (RSI) sits near 35, suggesting weakening momentum and approaching oversold territory. This could provide the opportunity for a short term bounce back should buyers return to the market. If ADA drops below $0.20, another potential support zone is the lower Bollinger Band near $0.196.
But the larger technical picture is still bearish. Cardano’s weekly chart reveals ADA has dropped below the lower trendline of an ascending channel and is still trading below its weekly EMAs. These signals indicate to us that sellers still have the upper hand in the bigger trend.
If bearish momentum strengthens, ADA could fall to the $0.19 level and perhaps test the $0.16 area. Conversely, a sustained move above key moving averages on rising trading volume could improve the outlook for a recovery.
Will Cardano price go back to $0.26?
If the buyers can hold the support at $0.20 and bring back the confidence in the market then Cardano can see $0.26 again. If the rebound plays out, ADA may first target nearby resistance levels before trying to retake $0.26.
While the growing stablecoin supply can be a positive signal, low network activity, falling DeFi TVL and decreasing open interest remain major concerns. A better confirmation of improving demand would be an increase in active addresses and a return to derivatives activity.
On the downside, a daily close below $0.20 could expose ADA to more losses toward $0.196, $0.19 and possibly $0.16.
Cardano’s short-term outlook is overall cautious. The $0.20 support level is crucial, and a rebound to $0.26 will require stronger buying pressure and tangible improvements in network activity. These scenarios are contingent, and crypto prices are still very volatile.
