XRP Price Prediction: Whale Sell Pressure Vs ETF Inflows
Ripple (XRP) is trading near an important support zone from $1.28 to $1.30 as traders weigh rising whale selling activity against renewed interest from spot XRP exchange-traded funds (ETFs). Although ETF inflows show growing institutional interest, on-chain data reveals that big holders are moving more tokens to exchanges, which could contribute to selling pressure.
Meanwhile, rising activity on the XRP Ledger is another positive sign for the network. The crypto market is in limbo ahead of the US elections, and traders will be looking to see if XRP can hold its current support or if a larger correction back toward $1 is in the cards.
Binance sees XRP Whale Inflows Hit Seven-Month High
Whales’ monthly average inflows to Binance have jumped from $72 million in August to $112.4 million, the report said, citing data from CryptoQuant. That’s the highest monthly average since March 2026. The figures show movements of large holders of over 1 million XRP, with a focus on a possible increase of selling pressure on the exchange side.
Analyst DarkFost thinks that the recovery of XRP from below $1 in August may have prompted whales to cash in their profits. Big investors transferring tokens to exchanges can be an indication that they plan to sell, but it doesn’t necessarily mean they’ve sold, just because they’ve transferred their tokens to an exchange.
The increasing inflows therefore represent a significant risk for XRP bulls, particularly if selling activity accelerates as buying pressure diminishes. Traders will have to watch exchange flows, as well as trading volume and price action to see if the market can absorb the additional supply.
More XRP ETF Inflows as Network Activity Increases
XRP ETFs recorded $3.55 million in inflows on October 22, according to SoSoValue data cited in the report. That was compared to reported outflows of $635 million from Bitcoin ETFs and $110 million from Ethereum ETFs over the same period.
XRP ETFs saw inflows of $4.25 million during the week, compared to the previous week’s outflows of $1.84 million. These numbers point to improving fund flows but continued inflows would be better evidence of continuing investor demand.
Network activity was also on the rise. The number of non-empty XRP Ledger wallets has reportedly hit a record 8.24 million, with 4,772 new wallets added in a single day. According to Santiment data, it was the fifth biggest daily gain since March.
This is further contextualized by the development of the XRP Ledger, with Ripple’s partnership with Arf to improve RLUSD settlement liquidity on the network. But more activity on the wallet and on partnerships doesn’t automatically mean immediate XRP price gains.
XRP Price Forecast: Will $1.28–$1.30 Support Hold?
According to reports, XRP is trading above the support zone of $1.28-$1.30, which supported two previous rebounds. This makes this area an important level for traders looking at the short-term direction of the token.
Technical indicators give a mixed picture. The Relative Strength Index (RSI) reading of 42 indicates bearish momentum, while the Average Directional Index (ADX) near 20 indicates the prevailing trend is still relatively weak.
If XRP drops below support decisively, then the next psychological level to look for is $1. A sustained break-down could raise downside risks but this is a possible scenario and not a confirmed outcome.
In contrast, a renewed buying pressure could send XRP toward the $1.40 Fibonacci retracement level. Stronger bullish momentum could see a continued move above $1.40 open the door toward $1.65.
Conclusion: Will XRP Fall to $1 or Bounce Back?
Conflicting signals for XRP market as whale inflow to Binance spikes, ETF flows improve, XRP Ledger wallets hit record highs. The $1.28-$1.30 support zone remains important for the short-term outlook. A breakdown could leave XRP vulnerable to the $1 level, while stronger buying pressure could pave the way for a recovery toward $1.40 and potentially $1.65. Neither outcome is a certainty and traders should watch support, volume, exchange flows and ETF demand before rushing to judgment.
